Affordable Housing Month in May recognizes the long-term value of a stable home, including supportive housing programs at Homeward Bound that serve 320 people.

While our year-round emergency shelters act as a “front door” to our programs, affordable housing with support services builds bridges back to the larger community.

Through partnerships with property managers like Eden Housing and EAH Housing, Homeward Bound links residents at Warner Creek Senior Housing in Novato, San Clemente Family Homes in Corte Madera and Fireside Apartments in Mill Valley with local resources for transportation, wellness, education and fun.

Our staff at Voyager Carmel Center in San Rafael and the Palm Court program assist residents with mental health challenges, building a supportive community, while the Family Place program serves parents and children who have faced repeated bouts of homelessness in the past.

Thanks to everyone who fosters success in our programs, whether you lead chair yoga or art workshops, bring music or dinner, work in gardens or child care. You’re giving life to our belief that “everybody needs a place to call home.”
