We’re opening the doors at King Street Senior Housing in Larkspur, offering a stable new home for 12 seniors transitioning out of homelessness in our community. See what we’re creating at a Community Open House from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at 127 King St.
This partnership with St. Patrick’s Church turns a former convent into affordable housing with on-site staff and support services. We have completed renovation of the building and can turn our attention to the finishing touches.
Lend a hand to welcome new residents with a gift from our wish list for useful items like bedding, towels and kitchenware. We appreciate your help to turn this opening into a true homecoming for people moving from uncertainty to a new chapter in their “golden years.”
Thanks to you, we reached our goal on Giving Tuesday to raise $20,000 to provide a fresh, nourishing dinner every night through the first year at King Street Senior Housing. Now we’re ready to kick off a season of wellbeing!
The St. Patrick’s Choir honors the opening of this program with “Lessons & Carols,” a one-hour ecumenical celebration with music and readings at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the church. Everyone is invited to join this event.
We’re deeply grateful for your support to create this new community at King Street Senior Housing. Thank you to all our partners in the mission of “opening doors to safety, dignity, hope and independence.”
