We’re thrilled to declare another Big Shred success! The 10th annual event on Saturday, June 25, raised almost $10,000 for our new veterans housing community with sponsorship from Valley Oak Wealth Management and generous contributions from the community.
The shredding event saw 500 cars take advantage of the drive-through service provided by the Valley Oak team and Homeward Bound’s energetic volunteers.
All donations made at the Big Shred will support creation of 24 small apartments in Novato for veterans who are transitioning out of homelessness. Look for updates about a groundbreaking celebration to kick off construction at the end of this year!
Homeward Bound of Marin last year served 51 veterans. This new program can make it possible for Marin County to be one of the first in California to end homelessness for former service members!
