Learn about sustainable farming and meet some culinary stars this spring at Fresh Starts Chef Events! We host Chef Duskie Estes of Black Pig Meat Co. and Dave the Butcher on Thursday, March 16 for tips on using every cut of meat. Chef Duskie will share stories of her TV appearances on “The Next Iron Chef” and “Guy’s Grocery Games” along with her time in the kitchen at the now-closed Zazu Restaurant and Kitchen.
Each of our unique events includes recipe demos and a chance to get your questions answered by an expert. Our guests also enjoy a three-course meal prepared and served by chefs and graduates at Fresh Starts Culinary Academy.
Tickets go fast, so make reservations today! On Thursday, April 20, we host Chef Heidi Krahling of Insalata’s and Marinitas in San Anselmo with a menu from her 20 years of pleasing locals and visitors alike.
All proceeds benefit shelter, housing and training programs at Homeward Bound of Marin. In addition, our events offer inspiring opportunities for Fresh Starts Culinary Academy students and graduates to work with top-notch professionals while serving our guests.
