You can triple your impact to build solutions to homelessness! During the month of June, a generous donor offers a double-match for every dollar when you give to help raise the walls of the new Mill Street Center.
With your help, we expect to finish work next year on a modern shelter to serve 300+ people annually. The rebuilt shelter will have covered parking, smaller dorm rooms, an efficient kitchen and other upgrades to improve these essential services for years to come.
The two upper floors at “Mill Street 2.0” will provide small apartments where 32 people can find dignity, stability and better health in permanent supportive housing. This new program adds a type of housing not available currently in Marin, with on-site support for people who face complex challenges maintain stability.
For 35 years, Homeward Bound operated the county’s year-round emergency shelter for adults at the same site in San Rafael. Your support will help expand the potential of this site to serve even more unhoused neighbors as we work to end homelessness in our community.
The double-match challenge ends June 30, so act now to help close fundraising for this $19 million project. You can give online or by check to Homeward Bound of Marin, 1385 N. Hamilton Parkway, Novato, CA 94949 (write “Mill Street” in the notes field.) Thank you in advance for joining us to open Mill Street 2.0.
