Celebrating the launch of the Gilardi Training and Events Center marks the last major step toward completing our Novato campus as a unique site where people can reframe their futures with affordable housing and supportive employment.
We cut the ribbon with community leaders, neighbors, volunteers and supporters, including Dennis and Susan Gilardi, who made the signature gift to the project. Thanks to support from donors in the weeks leading up to the June 5 event, we met our $40,000 matching grant to help close our funding gap.
The Gilardi Center completes the vision to create 50 homes and an innovative place to grow training and career paths in our mission-based businesses. The building hosts a distribution warehouse, production bakery for Wagster Treats dog biscuits, a teaching kitchen and two small annex spaces for The Key Room, where our team can offer catering for events with up to 70 guests.
See the highlights of our celebration in this short video and read the story from the Marin Independent Journal. You can see all the photos in our Google album.
We have just $200,000 left to raise toward the $38 million cost of creating this nexus of careers and community! If you would like to make a gift, your name will be included on the permanent donor recognition wall to be installed in the Gilardi Center later this year.
