We’re opening our 50th year of service in Marin County with joy in the partnerships forged with so many of you to support people on a journey out of homelessness.
Some of our first volunteers at Homeward Bound were local congregations and organizations who provided hot meals at our shelter for adults in San Rafael. For more than 30 years, until interrupted by COVID-19 and a reconstruction, this effort continued in a monthly rotation of goodness!
Volunteers are back at work now at our Jonathan’s Place shelter, which opened in 2022 with a modern efficient kitchen. You can see them in action in our video, the first of those we plan to share in this milestone year.
Do you want to help fill hearts and plates with a meal for people as they start their journey out of homelessness? Please see our volunteer page for details and contact Community Engagement Coordinator Andrea Rey to find out more.
