Lead Games and Fun with Kids

Take an active part in life at Oma Village when you offer fun and supervision for children during a parent meeting every month on the second Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  This community of 14 homes offers permanent supportive housing for families who have experienced homelessness.

We are looking for adult leaders who enjoy working with children from 3 to 14 years old. These lead adults can bring two to three youth (age 15+) to help out with their activities.

Volunteers will lead activities like art projects or games while parents attend the meetings. Depending on how many volunteers participate, children can be divided into groups.

Planning and organizing activities will be left to volunteers, while Homeward Bound will provide any materials needed. Staff will be present onsite at Oma Village but engaged in other responsibilities.

Qualifications: We are looking for volunteers who bring good communication skills and a love for working with kids.  Previous experience with teaching or camp-style activities and Spanish language skills will be helpful.
