Help beautify the garden at King Street Senior Housing! We need volunteers to help from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the large garden that provides peaceful gathering space for 12 formerly homeless seniors.
Your efforts will nurture residents at this supportive housing program, who are opening a new chapter of stability and health in their “golden years.” This program in downtown Larkspur is just one of our 13 programs that provide permanent supportive homes for more than 350 people around Marin.
Our staff will lead volunteers in tasks like using the weed-whacker, raking, uncovering paths and bringing greenery to the sidewalk edge. We’ll be working in the shady backyard and cleaning up planting areas that face the street. Your efforts will prepare the backyard for the summer season and let this beautiful home maintain its attractive presence in the neighborhood.
Please email Andrea Rey, our Community Engagement Coordinator, to sign up. Volunteers should bring work gloves and water. Feel free to download and share a flyer about this project.
