We need up to four volunteers who could support our Family Center shelter by making a regular delivery from the SF/Marin Food Bank in San Rafael.
This weekly task provides a vital service for Family Center, the year-round emergency shelter for families that has been operated by Homeward Bound since 1974. Groceries delivered weekly from the Food Bank ensure the kitchen is stocked with basic items for breakfast, dinner and school lunches.
For this role, volunteers will need to enroll in training required by the Food Bank and will shop from a list provided by the Family Center. This weekly task can be shared by up to four volunteers, so each individual may commit to helping one week per month or more as preferred.
