Be a Back-to-School Shopper

Join Our Shopping Blitz on Aug. 3

The Family Center in San Rafael and our supportive housing programs for families provide critical services to help vulnerable families transitioning out of homelessness. Our programs focus strongly on rebuilding wellbeing and resilience for the whole family, allowing kids to thrive as they create their future.

We are looking for energetic adults for a shopping blitz starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Target store in San Rafael. The Salvation Army will sponsor purchase of all back-to-school clothing for kids in the Homeward Bound community and each volunteer will shop for five of them.

Homeward Bound will provide detailed clothing requests for each child. We’ll enjoy the luxury of having Target open just for us as we walk the aisles to select the sizes and colors to fill each child’s back-to-school needs. Join us for guilt-free shopping!

As an appreciation of your support, you will be able to shop tax-free for yourself on Aug. 3 at Target when you complete your list! We also offer you a free coffee from the convenient in-store Starbucks.
