Let’s celebrate together as we open a new community for 24 veterans! Thanks to your help, we can salute completion of the building where former service members will end their experience of homelessness.
Everyone is invited to attend the festivities from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 13. Take a tour, hear from local leaders, enjoy a rousing brass band and share some refreshments made by our Fresh Starts Culinary Academy. You can RSVP online.
Free parking will be offered at the SMART train station, 10 Main Gate Drive, with frequent shuttle service to the site (1 mile). Please note: due to ongoing construction, onsite parking will be limited to our invited speakers and people with disabilities.
These new apartments bring Marin County within reach of ending veteran homelessness, one of the first California counties to achieve that milestone. Given what we know of veterans who lack housing in our community, we believe this project can accommodate every eligible veteran.
There’s still time to honor a veteran in your life with a gift to help launch this new community. A donation of any size lets you name someone to be included on the permanent “honor wall” that will be installed in the building. You can give securely online with a note about your honoree or email Development Director Corry Kanzenberg with questions.
