Thanks for putting our veterans housing project on a strong foundation! With help from everyone contributing to our matching challenge, we raised $100,000 over eight weeks to end veteran homelessness in Marin.
We’re grateful to the Weinreb-Pilecki-Segal Family Fund for matching every gift large and small made by July 4. Your response lights the path to opening 24 apartments for unhoused veterans next year.
Given what we know about veterans who need housing in our community, this project will make Marin the second county in California to end veteran homelessness.
Our veterans building is the first phase of a larger development to expand housing and training programs at Homeward Bound’s headquarters. Another 26 apartments for workforce housing will be built later, along with a manufacturing bakery for social enterprise businesses that employ homeless or low-income adults.
